Lip Lowering
Having an upper lip that is either quite thin, or that lifts too far above the teeth when smiling, known as a 'hypermobile' lip is a common problem for many people. Although this isn't strictly a dental problem, our clients are pleased to hear that we can provide a very effective procedure to lower the top lip and provide more fullness in order to perfect the smile.
Our modern procedure is performed quite simply with the help of local anaesthetic and a small surgical procedure that optimises the lip attachement to the gum area by re-attaching the lip mucosal flap slightly lower down the gum area.
Our treatment results in a lowering of the upper lip and therefore less tautening of the lip area, giving the upper lip a fuller appearance and a fuller, more natural smile.
